Keystone Montessori School was established in March 1994, as the result of the deep commitment of Victoria Shea, who in partnership with Montessori parents and teachers in the Oak Park/River Forest area, wished to provide an authentic Montessori education for children ages four months to adolescence.
Keystone is incorporated as a non-for-profit parent-teacher initiative and meets the standards established by the Association Montessori International (AMI). The school is registered with the Illinois State Board of Education, and is in the recognition process. Keystone serves children of varied social, racial , religious, and cultural backgrounds and does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race or creed.
